Salt spray chambers and corrosion test chambers

Snow, ice, slush, and road salt: In the automotive sector in particular, materials must withstand extreme stresses and demonstrate maximum corrosion resistance. Our salt spray chambers offer you the ideal conditions for fast, reliable, and reproducible results.
Salt fog testing allows you to simulate the stress caused by oxidizing, corrosive substances in fast motion. Your test specimens are tested in a salty fog atmosphere at elevated temperatures. Spray additives such as acetic acid (ESS) or copper chloride (CASS) can also be used.
Realistic alternating corrosion tests
Our salt spray chambers are also suitable for alternating corrosion tests. Here, salt spray tests are combined with other procedures and the different phases are cycled through. This creates a particularly realistic stress simulation – ideal for development, quality assurance, and series approvals.

- Water supply with demineralized water for stable and reproducible test results
- Brine storage tank with agitator for uniform brine preparation and constant test conditions
- Consumables such as standardized test sheet sets and brine
- Loading accessories such as test sheet carriers, stainless-steel rods, or other mounting systems for flexible sample mounting
- Low-temperature operation down to –20 °C, depending on the standard (FLC PLUS+ and WLC PLUS+ series)

Modern corrosion testing is becoming increasingly complex and requires realistic simulation of environmental conditions. The PLUS+ series can be used to simulate sophisticated temperature and humidity profiles, including frost storage down to –20 °C.
Energy-efficient and sustainable – the cooling compressor can optionally be operated with CO₂ – for sustainable testing processes and compliance with current environmental standards.
