If, for example, you want to achieve a high degree of hardness in your component or increase its toughness, use your industrial hardening furnace for hardening or tempering. The difference between the processes lies in the final stage of the process, tempering. In tempering, this takes place at significantly higher temperatures than in hardening, resulting in different microstructures.
